The Farm
house is a relic of the XVIII century, restored with perfection in its
details and keeping the structure and the materials used from the time,
adobe bricks, huge beams of aroeira and braúna, floor in cinnamon
planks, doors in jacarandá pau santo).
All the bathrooms have been decorated with authentic Portuguese tiles of
the 18th century.
The baroque chapel, in D. João V style, is among one of the most
beautiful religious constructions of Minas Gerais, being part of the
Macaúbas Reclusion Convent . Its lord would probably be the contractor
João Fernandes, husband of the legendary Chica da Silva, who sent his
nine daughters to study in seclusion around the 1760s.
The Inn has got a bar, two restaurants, video-room/library with SKY TV
system. There is a heated pool (12mx6m), volleyball courts, work-out
equipment, three fishing ponds, two falls, designed natural parks full
of orchids, bromélias and heliconias and paved paths. You can still
stroll about and pass by the stables and the several walking trails
along the Minhocas Stream, the Crystal mine, and the early gold mining
works, etc.
We still have got a massage parlor, herbal baths, boutiques, a
greenhouse with medicinal and aromatic herb.
Our park includes historical constructions such as mills, maize flour
water-mill, early gold mining works, colonial houses. Horses are also
rent to ride. Boutique: We sell farm products such as cottage cheese,
fresh cheese, milk candy, fruit preserve, olive oil with herb,
seasoning, tea, besides crafts, shirts and ornamental objects.In our
medicinal and aromatic herbal garden, small vases with growing slips can
be purchased.
